Digital Marketing Analyst – San Diego, California
Position Overview
LMD Digital, the in-house agency division of Local Media San Diego, LLC is seeking a data-driven, highly organized Digital Marketing Analyst. This role is a hybrid of data analytics, campaign project management, and operational innovation.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Digital Strategy & Partnerships, you will manage multi-channel digital campaigns across our agency roster, premier radio brands, and marquee live events. You will turn raw data into compelling client stories, keep complex projects on schedule, and leverage modern AI tools to build smarter, more automated agency systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Lead of Digital Operations and Analytics to enhance existing workflows, improve internal systems, and identify new efficiencies across campaign setup, execution, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analytics & Reporting (Excel & PowerPoint Mastery): Own the post-campaign reporting lifecycle. Analyze multi-channel metrics (Social, Display, Audio, CTV) in Excel, handle billing reconciliation, and translate complex data into high-impact, client-ready PowerPoint presentations that clearly demonstrate ROI.
- Campaign Project Management: Serve as the operational hub for campaign execution. Work within the Basecamp environment to manage timelines gather client assets, and coordinate with sales, programming, and vendor partners to ensure flawless, on-time campaign launches.
- AI Integration & Process Innovation: Proactively identify workflow bottlenecks and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline operations. Use AI tools to accelerate data cleaning, draft campaign performance narratives, and automate routine administrative tasks.
- Sales & Proposal Support: Partner with Account Executives to build results-driven digital proposals, incorporating historical insights, strategy recommendations, and visual mockups.
Core Qualifications & Skill Stack
- Experience: 1–3 years in digital media operations, campaign management, or marketing analytics (Agency or media experience preferred. Open to new grads with relevant internship experience).
- Advanced Spreadsheet & Presentation Skills: Mastery of Excel (data manipulation, pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint (building clean, visually compelling, data-dense decks).
- Project Management Discipline: Proven ability to manage strict deadlines and moving parts using Basecamp or a similar platform.
- AI Literacy: Active, hands-on experience using generative AI tools to optimize workflows, engineer prompts, and automate daily tasks.
- Digital Fluency: Solid understanding of digital advertising fundamentals, traffic tracking, and performance KPIs.

Compensation:
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
